Kuakini Welcomes Over 900 Visitors to Its Annual Open House
Kuakini Health System held its annual Open House event in May, welcoming over 900 students, teachers, and parents to its campus. The visitors learned about Kuakini's programs and services, careers in health care, and ways to stay healthy by talking with staff members and volunteers. Over a dozen interactive displays were set up for the event including Biomedical Engineering, Cardiac Catheterization, Dietary, Imaging, and Pulmonary Services, as well as a Hand Washing Station. The Hyperbaric Treatment Center, Emergency Medical Services, and Honolulu Police Department also participated. In the picture to the right, Manager of Security Services Devin Fukunaga leads a presentation on Kuakini's HazMat (Hazardous Materials) Shower and explains how Kuakini prepares for potential emergency situations.

Naming Opportunities for New Kuakini Research Building
If you are interested in having your name or the name of a loved one associated with the discoveries that will be made at Kuakini’s new Research Building, there are many naming opportunities at different levels of giving. The new Research Building will consolidate the various Kuakini-sponsored research projects under one roof and will include a modern and secure archival storage facility.
