|Description of Position
Supports daily operations of the department, performs routine clerical tasks and assignments, maintains and updates databases, and performs routine activities to process biweekly payroll cycle.
|Qualifications and Requirements
High school or business school graduate, with courses in bookkeeping and typing preferred. Associates degree from a business college preferred. Minimum one year payroll experience preferred, including maintaining an automated payroll system and knowledge of government regulations regarding payroll and payroll-related forms. Experience with computers and accounting software applications preferred; or any combination of ducation and experience which would provide the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities to meet the minimum qualifications to perform th essential functions of this position. Three months on-the-job training provided to familiarize the individual with requirements of the job; the three months coincides with the probationary period, at which time the employee must prove to be capable of fulfilling the job requirements.
