Regular Full-time. Primarily day shift, Monday through Friday, with 24-hr availability to meet operational needs when necessary. Endurance for shift rotation required when unit-staffing requirements cannot be met. Must be physically able to respond to off shift emergencies when necessary.

| Description of Position |
Assists with planning, organizing, directing, and implementing nursing care in the peri-operative setting, ensuring compliance with established nursing standards and practices, policies, procedures, JCAHO and regulatory requirements. Reports directly to the Patient Care Coordinator (PCC) of the Operating Room, and works in liaison with the PCC in achieving and maintaining quality patient care in a cost-effective manner. Assumes responsibility in the OR in the absence of the PCC.

| Qualifications and Requirements |
Graduate from an accredited school of nursing with current HI RN license; Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing preferred. Minimum three (3) years experience in operating room nursing required. Certified Nurse of Operating Room (CNOR) certification preferred. Healthcare Provider certification required, with retraining once every two years.
