| Description of Position |
The Manager, Risk & Safety Program is responsible to the Vice President & Chief Financial Officer (VP/CFO) for coordinating the Health System's risk management and insurance activities and programs, and implementing, directing and monitoring the Safety Management Program for all departments/services in compliance with applicable Health System policies and procedures, JCAHO standards, and regulations of Federal, State, and City agencies that have jurisdiction over safety activities.

| Qualifications and Requirements |
Bachelors Degree from an accredited four-year college or university. Graduate degree in Hospital Administration, Business Administration, or Public Health in related health field preferred. Minimum of three (3) years of healthcare administration and/or risk management/safety work experience in a hospital or other healthcare institution if possessing a graduate degree, or minimum of five (5) years of healthcare administration and/or risk management/safety work experience in a hospital or health care institution if only a graduate of a four-year college or university. Direct experience in risk management/safety program administration required. Experience / licensure as a Registered Nurse preferred. Evidence of continuing education highly desirable. Affiliation with professional association(s) desirable.
