|Description of Position
Conducts and documents examinations of participants for various projects. Communicates with participants and/or caregivers to verify clinic visit and current health condition; provide scope of the examination and discuss transportation concerns. Schedules study examinations with participants and/or caregiver; initiates follow up calls/letters for appointments, arrange for any special needs and prepare charts. Conducts examinations and documents: medical history, medications, family information, physical and cognitive assessment, performs anthropometric physical measurements (blood pressure, height, weight, etc) and accompanies participant to lab for blood draws. Advises participant, supervisor and/or primary care physician of abnormal findings or need for medical attention. Conducts exit interview to ascertain interest in autopsy study participation.
