The Kuakini Medical Center Auxiliary is the largest active auxiliary/volunteer group for a health care organization in the Hawaii (over 425 members contributing more than 42,000 hours annually.) Savings in labor costs are estimated at more than $304,500 annually, based on Hawaii's minimum wage of $7.25 an hour.
Kuakini is an owner/member of Premier, Inc.,the largest health care alliance in the U.S. Premier is comprised of 200 owner/member hospitals and health care organizations. This alliance brings together over 1,746 hospitals for group purchasing benefits, networking, consulting services and benchmarking.
Kuakini Medical Center was the seventh largest private acute care hospital in Hawaii in 2011. *
