Physicians, specially trained technicians and Registered Nurses provide diagnostic and therapeutic procedures related to the gastrointestinal system for inpatients and outpatients. The procedures are performed using specialized equipment called endoscopes that are used to examine the gastrointestinal tract, such as the esophagus, stomach, small colon, and large colon. Kuakini’s Gastrointestinal Services also performs endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP), dilations, and stent placements.
