Assistant Patient Care Coordinator – Cardiac Care Unit (Req. #2010-003 - Regular Full-time)

Primarily day shift, with 24-hr on-call status.  May be required to work beyond regular work hours.  Must be physically able to respond to emergencies at the Medical Center.

Kuakini Medical Center

Assists the Patient Care Coordinator (PCC) in coordinating the operational activities of assigned patient care units in accordance with established Kuakini Health System policies, Kuakini Medical Center nursing standards/policies and procedures, Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organization standards, and regulatory requirements.  Facilitates cooperative and collaborative relationships between nursing management and staff, and has 24-hour accountability for compliance to nursing care standards in the planning, organizing, directing, and implementing nursing care, quality standards, and patient safety initiatives.  Assumes the PCC responsibilities in the absence of the PCC.

Graduate from an accredited school of nursing with current HI RN license; Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing preferred.  Minimum three years experience in an acute medical/surgical nursing required.   Supervisory/management experience preferred.  Healthcare Provider certification required.  ACLS certification desired.
