Quality Management Coordinator  (Req. #2002-583 - Casual Part-time)

JOB SUMMARY:  Serves as a key resource and provides assistance in implementing the Performance Improvement Plan approved by the Board of Directors and in accordance with the Kuakini Health System (KHS) mission to continuously improve the quality of health care services and programs, and in compliance with regulatory/accrediting agencies.  Serves as consultant in the interpretation and/or clarification of standards and regulations relative to the delivery of quality care.  Coordinates the monitoring of the Medical Center’s compliance to the standards and guidelines of the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO).

Education/Experience:  Graduate of an accredited university or college; and/or current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Hawaii required.   Master's degree in nursing or health field preferred.  Minimum three (3) years work experience in an acute-care medical facility preferred.  Minimum two 2) years of Performance Improvement experience preferred; or any combination of education and experience which would provide the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities to meet the minimum qualifications to perform the essential functions of this position.
