Auxiliary Inducts New Officers for 2008
Kuakini Medical Center’s Auxiliary, the largest hospital auxiliary in Hawaii, has elected its officers for 2008. The newly elected president is Nancy Shimamoto. Vice-President Sharon Kurio, Recording Secretary Karen Kuraoka, Corresponding Secretary Beverly Klopf and Treasurer Lella Migita will assist her.

The new officers were installed at the Auxiliary's Fall Membership meeting held on December 6, 2007 at Waialae Country Club. A special presentation was made to outgoing Auxiliary President Ken Kunisaki, who had effectively led the organization from 1991-1997 and 2003-2007.
Kuakini’s Auxiliary is a voluntary organization under Kuakini Health System with over 500 members. Since 1978, the auxiliary has raised over $1 million for Kuakini. Members also contribute their talents and skills to enhance Kuakini patient care services and provide social and educational activities for Kuakini’s volunteers.
