|Description of Position
The Nurse Clinician (Wound, Ostomy & Continence) is a clinical expert practitioner in a designated clinical area of practice, functioning as a role model, educator, coordinator, and consultant in the care of specialized or complex patients. Oversees all continuing education programs of the Health System, and serves as an educational resource to all departments, providing employees with professional development opportunities.
|Qualifications and Requirements
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, with current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Hawaii required. Bachelor of Science degree preferred; education or teaching courses preferred. Minimum three (3) years nursing experience in an acute-care facility in his/her clinical specialty within the past three (3) years required. Teaching or training experience in a health care facility or other organization preferred; or any combination of education and experience which would provide the necessary knowedge, skills, and abilities to meet the minimum qualifications to perform the essential functions of this position. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Provider required, with retraining once every two years.
