|Qualifications and Requirements
One (1) year experience as a cook required, or five (5) months vocational training as a cook. On-the-job training is provided for approximately 1-2 weeks to familiarize new cook with work routine and menus. Must be able to cook/bake a variety of foods in large quanitites. Familiar with seasonings required for special diets and cooking time involved. Able to make estimates relative to quantities of food required. Must be able to calculate amounts needed for portion control, and to comprehend recipes, menus and meal tickets on the trayline which are written in English.
