Rehabilitation Services is a multidisciplinary program that helps an individual reach his or her highest functional potential and independence in activities of daily living. Services are offered in an inpatient setting.
Physical Therapy helps restore mobility by improving the patient's overall strength, balance, coordination and range of motion. Through training and the use of specialized manual techniques, exercises, modalities and equipment, the staff helps patients regain their highest functional level in mobility and physical activities.
Occupational Therapy helps patients restore function for optimal participation in activities of daily living such as work, school, family, community, and leisure activities. Exercises and activities help patients improve their strength and stamina, increase dexterity and coordination, improve visual perceptual skills and become more independent in self-care skills.
Speech Therapy assists patients with swallowing and communication disorders related to stroke, head trauma and other neurologic conditions or surgical procedures. Therapists provide training and exercises for patients with swallowing problems to assist them with safe swallowing. For patients with communication disorders, therapists work on comprehension, memory and cognition, voice and enhancing communication.
