Acetaminophen (non-aspirin pain reliever) — for controlling pain and fever.

Adhesive bandages – for covering minor wounds.

Antibiotic ointment – for preventing infection of wounds.

Anti-diarrhea medication – for controlling diarrhea.

Aspirin – (for adults only) for use if you think you may be having a heart attack or stroke; go to an Emergency Room immediately.

Elastic bandages – for supporting injured joints.

Electrolyte replacement – for replacing body salts.

Hydrogen peroxide – for cleaning minor wounds.

Ibuprofen – for controlling pain, fever and inflammation. People aged 65 and over should consult their physician first.

Thermometer – for measuring body temperature.

Throat lozenges or spray – for controlling sore throat pain.

Tweezers – for removing splinters.

* Always remember to read the label before taking any medication. If you are in doubt, consult your physician before purchasing or taking any medication.

** Store medication in a cool, dry place, out of the reach of children and away from bright light. Heat and moisture can also diminish the potency of medication (e.g. kitchen and bathroom cabinets).
