Infection Prevention Coordinator
Regular Full-Time (Req. #2014-066). Primarily Monday-Friday, day shift. May require occasional flexibility in scheduling as needed. 40 hours per week.
Kuakini Medical Center
Serves as key resource in matters of infection control and infectious diseases, and carries out managerial responsibilities of the Infection Control Program for the Health System. Collaborates with the Committee Chairperson, and compiles and analyzes surveillance data for review and recommendation by the Infection Committee. Administratively reports to the Vice President, Clinical Services.
Bachelor of Science degree in nursing or medical technology required; Master's degree in public health or certification in Infection Control preferred. Minimum two (2) years recent clinical nursing or health-related experience required. Certification of training in infection control, provided by the Center for Disease Control (CDC) or Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology (APIC) required; or any combination of education and experience which would provide the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities to meet the minimum qualifications to perform the essential functions of this position.
