Kuakini Oncology Services provides care and support through your cancer journey. We utilize a multidisciplinary approach to address each cancer patient’s individual and unique needs, from prevention, early detection and treatment, through survivorship. In addition to general patient care, the staff provides patient education and prevention, pathophysiology, diagnostic and treatment methods, chemotherapy, multidisciplinary, emotional and spiritual counseling for patients and families.
Our Oncology Program is accredited by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer, and has received commendations in numerous areas of excellence.
Kuakini’s Oncology Services provides medical care, education and support services through the major stages of cancer care - diagnosis, treatment and support.
Oncology Resource Center
The Oncology Resource Center is a place where Kuakini patients and their friends and family members can learn more about cancer and cancer-related issues. Books, magazines and informational brochures are available for use in the resource center. There is even a dedicated computer that links to reliable websites with information on cancer and cancer-related issues.
The resource center is located on the fifth floor of the Makai wing in the Kuakini Medical Center. It is open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on weekdays, but can also be accessed after hours and on weekends upon request through the fifth floor nursing staff.
